I've been looking into this after my calender suddenly accrued hours of background running and this Daemon was running.Turns out it runs when it syncs with email accounts or anything to do with your calender. If one of your email accounts can't sync properly (goes bad) it causes this Daemon to go mental and load up your CPU continually running until you kill it or it/your phone crashes.
You need to change your calender settings so nothing is syncing to it and/or find the email account that's gone bad and remove it. You can gradually change it back and just watch for when it spikes again to locate the issue. It normally spikes about 1am for me everyday when I was having issues (go to settings>privacy>analytics>analytics data and look for anything labelled calaccessd in the first 2 lines it'll give time and date for each event so you should be able to work out a common time for the occurrence)
